I am an aspiring Product Designer with an emphasis in Environmental Design, and I will soon begin my studies at Art Center in 2014. With a diverse background in business, the visual arts, and action sports- my vision is to design performance urban apparel, gear, accessories, and environments for the street sports and street arts scene.  

 

Most of my youth was spent exploring the mountain wilderness of Utah and participating in various action sports. But in September 2010 my wife and I uprooted our family and moved to the financial district of downtown Los Angeles. I immediately fell in love with the city. Every day I found myself exploring the urban environment, connecting with the rhythm and flow of the city, and feeling the pulse of the land beneath the concrete. The buildings became my mountains, the marbled corridors my trails, the gardens my groves, and the fountains my streams and waterfalls.

I continued to rediscover myself within the society of street sports and the street arts. In November 2010 I founded two community organizations dedicated to Parkour, Urban Exploration, Street Art, Street Dance, Breaching, and other similar activities. Later, this became a society of individuals and activities dedicated to forging ties between the outdoors and the urban, the sophisticated and the wild. Today this organization is called SKN & SMK Street Society. And as the director and designer of these groups, I have found new purpose within the world of design.

 

My objective is to find the perfect position with a company/organization that will allow me to express my talents and assist me to deepen my skills in design and organization.
